Summertime and the living is easy

This is how we spent the Fourth of July weekend, just relaxing at Lake Livingston in east Texas. My thanks to Kim and Claire for their hospitality, good eats, and sharing their new lake house with us.

Boy, does that look peaceful and relaxing — sounds like you had a wonderful time. And you should be recharged for Buffa10…but then again, you have 2 days to become frenzied and frantic as you prepare to leave everyone and everything for the long weekend. You’ll be ready for a Mimosa with breakfast on our flight on Thursday, I’ll bet!

thanks for your comment on the Southern Living article. Steve selected which flowers and photos to feature from my garden, so I enjoyed the surprise of not knowing anything until I saw it in print!
My daughter from the Houston area is visiting and she brought the Houston weather with her. Today we will visit indoors, in front of the fan. I wonder how hot it will be in Buffalo!
