Laid-back living at Lake Livingston

January 16, 2020

Is there any place more relaxing than a lakehouse? On the way to New Orleans last month, we spent two nights at my sister’s little place on Lake Livingston, about an hour north of Houston in East Texas.

With feet propped up on the deck rail, I blissed out over a misty sunrise…

…and a sunny afternoon…

…and a peachy-pink sunset.

Ahhhhh

A lavender twilight under the trees was pretty magical too…

…with a little crescent moon keeping company with the stars.

Magical indeed. They are smart savers and planners to have made it possible. I’m the lucky one to get to enjoy it for free — ha! 🙂

  2. They picked such a charming spot there on the lake, and lucky you for visiting!

Yes indeed. They really enjoy it, and so do we when we’re able to get out there for a visit.

Just what I need on this rainy Sunday morning. Relaxation at its best.

So pretty! The only place that might compete would be a beach house… Extensive testing would be required!
