Feeling beachy in Lucinda’s garden
Step through the gate into Lucinda Hutson‘s side garden, and a seashell wreath hints at what’s to come…
…a tropicalesque garden where pearl-draped mermaids bask beneath a seashell arch. Strands of capiz shells turn in the breeze, flashing like fish scales amid a school of metal fish, and containers of snake plants and succulents stand in for kelp and coral.
Strings of beads, round mirrors, and tiny toucans add to the fun. You could look for hours and not discover all the details.
It’s a treat to sneak another peek at Lucinda’s beachy mermaid garden. If you’re heading to the shore this summer, keep your eyes peeled for mermaids, or maybe just a few shells for your own collection.
