Last day of February, sunset

February 28, 2006

Despite my being under the weather, the gorgeous weather outside beckoned me into garden. Here are a few images from the front garden.

A combination of yellows: Avalanche daffodils and hymenoxys

I don’t plant many annuals, but pansies work well here during the winter. I plant them around the pot in my central courtyard to bring a little color to the entry.

Hummingbird bait: coral honeysuckle vine. No scent on these beautiful flowers, but this noninvasive honeysuckle has beautiful, mostly evergreen foliage, and the flowers attract hummers spring through fall.
