Digging again

August 30, 2006

87 degrees. That was the high temperature here yesterday. That’s an early October high, y’all. Today, the joy continues with a north breeze keeping the air dry and comfortable, even though it’s expected to be in the 90s again. Ahhh, it feels like fall can’t be far off .
With weather like this, I had to get my hands in the dirt again, so I grabbed my bulb planter and dug in about 20 oxblood lily bulbs given to me by a gardener friend. I suppose they won’t bloom this fall, but I’m prepared to wait. At least I didn’t have to wait any longer to start digging.
