Happy birthday to my nature girl

She’s eleven today, my nature-loving child who’s always bringing home interesting rocks, catching lizards, and taking pictures alongside me in the garden or on wildflower safari. She appreciates agaves and cute little succulents, but she loves flowers. She swears she’ll have an enormous flower garden when she grows up. And I know she will.

Awwww – that’s a sweet picture with the bluebonnets! I see gardening glimmers from 2 of my 20-something kids, hope they develop into more – it would be fun to garden with them.
What a pretty young lady. I can’t wait to see her garden. I bet she got that garden designing gene from her Momma.
