Walking through the garden I came across several still-life arrangements of pyracantha berries and buckeyes from the Mexican buckeye tree.
Who collected and arranged them so deliberately? No squirrel or raccoon, that’s for sure.
My daughter and her friends like to make collections from the garden for arranging on the Lion King rock. I never know what I’ll find there.

Very artistic and the colors really pop, Pam! Rocks make the best background for so many things. I admire their ingenuity. :-)

So pretty, nice capture. Maybe they were leaving them for a critter to come & have a snack.

I like the red berries altho the black ones look good as well. I wonder if they taste as sweet as they look.

Hello Pam,
I love the way colorful berries brighten winter gardens. Have you noticed that when birds eat the Pyracantha berries that it makes them act drunk? It is funny to watch.

How lovely! Will you plant the buckeyes & start a tree nursery?

What a lovely idea on their part and such an unexpected pleasure on your part. And it suggests the garden gene is there in the next generation …

Isn’t it delightful that you have your own garden fairies?!!

Beautiful. We miss so much when we forget to look beyond the flowers in the garden.

Plenty for the creatures to munch on this time of year. Noticed the birds interest in the American beautyberry this past week. They are perching on the long branches while they pick the dark purple fruit.

You’ve given your daughter’s talents a place with some scope, Pam – who wouldn’t want a Lion King rock? Andy Goldsworthy better keep watch in his rear view mirror ;-]
Merry Christmas to all your family,
