this sounds like the most amazing time. what an impressive guest list. I’m looking forward to reading all about it.
    cheers
    irena
    Me too, actually. 🙂 —Pam

It sounds like it is going to be an amazing event! I just love your big photos. I can’t figure out how to put large ones on my blog. I suppose it is an issue with Blogger? Even when I check “large” on my options, the photos are still not as big as I’d like.
To put photos on my blog, I resize them in Microsoft Paint and then upload them to my blog. So they can be any size I want. Perhaps a Blogger person can help you figure it out. Good luck. —Pam

  3. Randy says:

What beautiful colored flowers! I hope you guys have a wonderful time at your Spring Fling in Austin. Pam I see you are going to be host, don’t run yourself ragged trying to get everything ready.:-)
I’m trying to run myself ragged ahead of time, Randy, so that when the weekend arrives I’ll be ready and relaxed. 😉 —Pam

  4. Wowee! That is a lot of garden writers, bloggers, educators, gardeners extraordinaire. I’m glad to be a part of the fun.~~Dee
It’s an amazing group. I’m glad you’re going to be part of it, Dee. I only wish everyone could make it—and we had Zilker Gardens to host it in (we would need more room!). —Pam

  5. Gail says:

I was excited before but now I am even more excited to be meeting such talented people. That crossvine is very tempting…where is it in your garden?
    gail
It’s growing on the fence on the far side of my back yard. —Pam

  6. jodi says:

This is so exciting…and makes me sad that I can’t be there, but I’ll be giving a talk here that weekend–and probably dodging snow! I’ll be with you all in spirit, though.
We’ll miss you, Jodi. We didn’t get a Canadian, though I had high hopes. 😉 —Pam

  7. Lisa at Greenbow says:

Your crossvine is so beautiful. I am just green because I can’t come to the Spring Fling. Maybe
another year. What with our trees coming down, fence needing replaced etc etc. Just can’t manage it
this year. I will have to visit vicariously through blogs. Everyone take copious notes and post every
    last detail…please.
We’ll miss you too, Lisa. The great thing about blogging is that you’re sure to see lots of pictures and read lots of perspectives on the Spring Fling. —Pam

  8. Carol says:

Is that crossvine going still going to be blooming for the spring fling? I hope so! I am, as they say, “all kinds of excited” for this event. Thank you again to you and your helpers for organizing all of this. It will be a “blooming good time”, indeed, regardless of what ends up being in bloom that weekend.
Carol, May Dreams Gardens (where it is warm-ish, but raining)
There will be a few crossvine flowers, I expect, but the main flush will probably be over. Never fear, Carol. I have high hopes for the roses and salvias—if I don’t jinx it by saying so. —Pam

  9. Melanie says:

Pam, with that great line-up of bloggers you are sure to have a blast! Hope we can hear the party from here 🙂
We’ll be loud, I bet! —Pam

  10. Every year I see your crossviene photos and I SWEAR I’m going to plant some along my back chain link fence. And every year the time gets away from me.
I’m looking forward to the Spring Fling mostly with great anticipation but also with some small amount of dread. Will my garden look decent? Will anything be blooming? Will people notice that the entire front lawn has died?
Actually I’m NOT that worried. I’m just looking forward to talking in person with all the people I’ve corresponded with online for years. Spring Fling is going to be GREAT!
I’m glad you’re not that worried, MSS. (A little worry is normal.) I know how beautiful your meadow garden is in spring with the haze of larkspur. No one will even notice the front lawn. —Pam

  11. Every year when I see your crossvine in bloom I wish for a space to plant it – it’s just lovely, Pam.
That three weeks will be gone so fast – it will be so much fun to meet everyone.
    Annie at the Transplantable Rose
It’s a well-mannered vine, Annie, and easy to keep in bounds even if your space is small. Maybe you can find a place to squeeze one in. How about on that white archway into your secret garden? —Pam

  12. I love that climber Pam – it’s very like Campsis Radicans, which climbs over our toolshed.
What a great time you’ll all have, meeting up at the Spring Fling. I’ll be all agog to read about it .
I’ll have to go check out your toolshed climber to see. I’m intrigued. —Pam

  13. Frances says:

Pam, that is a whole lotta links! ;-> I am thinking of getting more memory cards for the camera, I already have more batteries, don’t want to miss any photo ops and know there will be loads. I am bringing my notebooks, paper and techy, but will there be handouts, etc. to help us remember everything we learn, like names of the people? I am terrible with names of people, better with names of plants.
    Frances
Good question, Frances. Yes, there will be welcome packets for each attendee with the names of the other attendees, maps, itinerary, and a couple little goodies. —Pam

  14. wiseacre says:

Wishing you all have sunny days and a wonderful time during Spring Fling.
    Thanks, Wiseacre. —Pam

  15. bill says:

ft worth area might be stretchin’ it just a little. it’s about 65 miles, although that probably passes for “area” hereabouts.
Sorry, Bill. I guess I don’t actually know where you are. Let me know, and I’ll be glad to make the correction. —Pam

  16. This sounds like such a fun get together. Wish I could be there too. I’ll look forward to seeing all the updates and photos on the various blogs.
I wish you could too, Crafty. We’ll miss you. —Pam

  17. I can hardly wait! How strange it will be to put faces with the names of people whose gardens I have been reading about for a year.
I’m sure the hours will just fly past.
    Robin at Bumblebee
Won’t it, though! Yep, the hours will surely fly, and we’ll be wishing for an extra day of fun. I can’t wait to meet you, Robin. —Pam

  18. Layanee says:

A great big Thank You to all of you organizers! Can’t wait to see the gardens, meet the people, learn some new things! Oh, and escape the lack of spring here in RI!
You are welcome in every sense of the word, Layanee. Can’t wait to meet you! —Pam

  19. Kylee says:

I’m looking forward to hearing all about it, too. It will probably take a week or more to get through all the blogging reports! What fun that will be! I only wish I were going to be there with y’all!
I wish so too, Kylee. Maybe it’ll be a northern Spring Fling next year? —Pam
