Party lights patio

January 20, 2014

Evening temperature: mid-60sF. I need to sit out here more often, before the mosquitoes return.

Update: If you’re interested in what kind of string lights we have and how we installed them, I wrote this post about lighting the garden a few years ago.

Looks cozy. Is there a margarita in this scenario?

Oh be still my heart. Can’t wait for the 60’s to be upon the garden again. This looks like heaven.

  3. Beautiful! I was thinking about adding lights to our patio, with no outdoor lighting it gets dark! Are yours round glass? Might you share your source?

We brought these string lights with us when we moved, Loree. They make SUCH a difference in how we are able to use our garden. I love them. I just updated my post with a link to a post I wrote about the lights a few years ago, but here’s the link again: https://www.penick.net/digging/?p=378 . The local shop I mention as our source appears to ship them, plus they are currently offering free shipping on orders over $50. —Pam

  4. Those look lovely! I am totally on your wavelength…trying to set posts to start stringing. Our current lighting out there is horrible…I mean bad.

Lighting our garden was a game changer. There’s nothing like a warm evening with a gin and tonic and some good company.
