Thanks for nominating Digging

September 22, 2008

The 2008 Blotanical Award nominations were announced yesterday, and — yowsa! — Digging is on the ballot for Best U.S. Blog, Best Drought-Tolerant Blog, Best Photography, Most User-Friendly Blog, and Blog of the Year Award. I’m honored to be nominated along with so many great bloggers, many of whom I count as dear friends.
The multi-talented, tireless Stuart from Down Under is hosting the inaugural Blotanical Awards. They differ from the Mouse & Trowels in that only registered “Blotanists” (other garden bloggers, for the most part) can vote. Whereas the Mouse & Trowels are a reader’s-choice award, with voting open to bloggers and non-bloggers alike, the Blotanicals are peer-driven, in which fellow garden bloggers make the selections.
I’m off to vote right now. And to each person who nominated Digging, a sincere “Thanks, y’all!”

You are an absolute shoo-in. I think your photos are some of the best I have ever seen. And I do read your blog too. I don’t just look at the pics. : )

  7. I feel guilty. i didn’t nominate you. I didn’t nominate anyone. But now I can vote for you!
It’s sort of like my not being a member of a political party. I can’t vote in the primary, but I get to vote on whomever everyone else chose when it comes to the general election. And I get less political mailings, phone surveys and neighborhood canvassers.
